InterregIIIA Project: Air Rives Manche Ozone (ARMO)

ARMO Project Outline

Project Objectives:

The project will focus on enhancing and sharing monitoring data on ozone across the regions, assessing the exposure of ozone to sensitive populations and vegetation, and improving the understanding of dispersion and sources of the pollutants which combine to form ozone. The central theme of the project is ozone pollution and we propose two main areas of research: Understanding and Information.

The main objectives of this project are:

1.	Review and assess the ozone concentrations across the regions.
2.	Increase our knowledge on the formation and distribution of Ozone in Sussex, Normandy and Picardie.
3.	Explore the health and ecological/agricultural impacts of ozone pollution within all the regions.
4.	To provide mixed media information and forecasting to the public of air quality levels – particularly ozone (O3).
