Agua Amarga is situated in the Cabo de Gata Natural Park, Almeria . It is a small village with a lovely beach, some small hotels, bars, restaurants, a small supermarket and a few other shops, some of which are seasonal. It has no high rise buildings and is very quiet outside of the peak holiday season. If you are looking for a large town atmosphere with fashionable shops & clubs then Agua Amarga is not for you.

The area offers plenty of scope for the outdoor life or just relaxing.

Activities include: Walking, bird-watching, golfing, horse-riding, sailing, wind-surfing, sea fishing (from the beach) and various water activities. Clear waters making the area excellent for diving/snorkelling
